Board of Trustees

KEPCo is governed by a board of trustees representing each of its 16 members, which collectively serve more than 125,000 electric meters in the eastern two-thirds of Kansas.

The KEPCo Board of Trustees meets regularly to establish business policies and act on issues that often include recommendations from working committees of the board and KEPCo staff. Each member of KEPCo is a trustee and each trustee acts through a trustee representative or alternate trustee representative. When conducting the business of KEPCo, each member is entitled to one vote either through its trustee representative or alternate trustee representative. The board of trustees annually elects officers of KEPCo, consisting of the president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The board also elects a seven-person executive committee, which includes the four officers and three additional members. Elections occur each year in November at KEPCo’s annual meeting.
